The Los Angeles Bible Training School is a non-profit organization with a focus on teaching the Bible. Our team was tasked with redesigning the website for a more modern look and feel and implementing features that would support a transition to in-person and online learning.
After getting a layout of theme and getting a feel for the structure of the website, we wanted to pick a premade website template from Wix. We wanted a quick solution for improving the deesign.
One of our biggest focuses was to increase the consistency of the color palette. Our team found some pages with heavy contrast between pages, so there was not an actual palette or color theme. After our team did some research, we went with a white and a highly-saturated variant of blue to convey feelings of openness. We generated a monochromatic palette from the Adobe Colors web app. Overall, our decision on the color scheme was based on the concern of bounce rate. We wanted visitors to feel like staying on the website.
When building this website, our team considered their future plans for online registration and the hosting of lectures online, so we implemented the Wix content management feature known as Collections. With this feature, site managers can manage data better in a way similar to WordPress. This feature was essential for them to transition to a more web-oriented institution that produces content.
Our team created a Wix website that promotes effective content management, online registration, and lower bounce rates. We consider these points very important because they provide a means of streamlining the actual process of content production and increase visitor retention.
